Established in 2021, Pathfinder Lab is a medical AI research institute led by senior principal investigators Professor Sung-Hak Lee from Seoul St. Mary's Hospital and Professor Sangjung Ahn from Korea University Anam Hospital's Pathology Departments. With participation in MICCAI 2022 and 2023, and recognition as an ISBI Challenge winner in 2022, we conduct various research projects including Research-Centered Hospital initiatives, Codipai project, and talent development programs. Through innovative research in computational pathology, we are opening new horizons in medical AI.
Pathfinder Lab is dedicated to computer biology/bioinformatics-based life science research, with the goal of discovering biomolecular mechanisms that drive biological phenomena. Our ultimate aim is scientific advancement that can contribute to the economic and social development of Korea. We actively engage students and young scientists in ongoing research projects under the guidance of our internationally recognized faculty, fostering their education. Our strategy for success is "We enhance the value of medical data."
