Our Research Area
AI-Powered Digital Pathology
Our lab advances pathological diagnosis by integrating artificial intelligence with modern digital pathology. We develop and validate end-to-end, AI-enabled workflows that convert whole-slide histopathology images into reproducible, quantitative readouts. These systems augment pathologists’ assessments by automating feature extraction, standardizing measurement, and surfacing clinically actionable insights for diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment planning.
Cancer Genomics
We investigate the molecular mechanisms that drive cancer initiation, progression, and therapy resistance, with a focus on gastric, hepatocellular, and colorectal cancers. Using integrated genomics—whole-exome sequencing, single-cell RNA-seq, and spatial transcriptomics—we map tumor and microenvironmental programs, define clinically relevant subtypes, and identify targets and biomarkers to inform precision oncology.
Multi-Modal Data Analysis
Our lab integrates multi-omics with digital pathology to build a comprehensive view of tumor biology. We reveal how genomic, transcriptomic, and microenvironmental programs are organized within tissue architecture. This integrative framework identifies molecular drivers of disease, links them to histopathologic features, and yields robust biomarkers and therapeutic targets that translate molecular insight into clinical practice.
